Trappers Ball

Special thanks to Calaway Park and Calgary Opera Canmore Rotary Club and the Calgary SCOPE Society hosted the third annual Trapper’s Ball. Proceeds from this event go towards operational costs for the Canmore condo to assist with keeping costs down for all guests. In our first year we raised $18,000 and last year we raised $9000.

Holidays for Hope: Canmore Rotary House is a two bedroom barrier free condominium in the heart of downtown Canmore. It is equally owned and time-shared by the Calgary SCOPE Society and the Rotary Club of Canmore.

Several years ago, SCOPE recognized that there was a need for individuals and families living with disability to have a break away… a time-out from doctors’ appointments, school meetings, behavioral therapy treatments, and for some, adverse living conditions and poverty. Many adult clients of SCOPE live well below poverty on their monthly AISH living allowance. Many families are trying to make ends meet on low income and live with challenges provided by disability within the family home. Holidays for Hope provides a luxury that many cannot afford.

Thank you to all of our monthly and one-time donors. We couldn't do this without you.
