Outreach - Children & Families
We provide one hour per week of in home support to families who have children with special needs who are experiencing challenges with social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges. This is a free service available to families who have children who are eligible to receive supports through FSCD, Family Support for Children with Disabilities. Typically we complete our work with families within a six month time frame. Some of the common things we can help with are: parenting, creating consistent structure and routines, toileting, safety, social skills, anger management, and sexuality. We believe that parents are the experts on their family. We work alongside parents to identify, create and practice strategies to meet their identified goals.
