In-Kind Gifts
The Calgary SCOPE Society has a variety of needs with respect to donations of in-kind gifts in order to facilitate the variety of programs we provide. See below for a list of potential in-kind gifts that we currently require.
In-kind donations are fully tax deductible (in accordance to the Canadian government ruling around independent assessments on the declared value). All donations must be in good condition and are subject to our acceptance policy.
SCOPE is grateful for in-kind donations such as:
- Gift Certificates for food or clothing
- Medical/Hygienic Supplies
- Christmas Gifts / Hampers for families living below the poverty line such as (Gift Cards to Toys R Us)
- Household Items
- Renovation / replacement items for client's housing
In addition to in-kind donations, SCOPE is also interested in individuals or organizations that are able to provide:
- Landlords that are able to charge rent which our clients can afford (living on $1188 per month AISH disability payments)
- Transportation discounts: AMA, Gas subsidies, maintenance
- Holiday respite for clients (i.e. accommodations)
